Overwhelm. Stress. Fatigue. It is something we all battle from time to time. Staying in that space though, can be harmful to your body AND mind. I find that in times of transition or new beginnings is where I feel it the most.
When it comes beating down on me, I do some of these things to help me come out of that space:
• Spend time in prayer or meditation
• Get a massage or pedicure
• Go see a movie
• Go outside in the fresh air
• Write down my feelings
• Laugh
• Spend time with loved ones
But one of the biggest things that helps me come back to serenity is structure. If I see it all out in front of me written down, it not only calms me down, but gives me the opportunity to take tasks one-by-one. This offsets the overwhelm and stress.
