Being a divorced mama means outings are different now, but they are just as (if not more) fun. Now I’ll admit, I’m not the biggest fan of the beach, but if it brings happiness to the kids I’m all for it. And the weather was PERFECT, so that was a bonus.

Plus – the beach is pretty budget-friendly since we live where people vacation. The cost: parking, some ice for the small cooler and snacks – under $20. Beat that Mickey Mouse. 😝

Our new world.

So we built a new city – join me for a tour. There’s a castle (right side of picture) surrounded by a moat that never lived up to its water-holding potential (is there a trick to that?). That little building outside the castle (foreground) with the shell (flag) sticking up out of it – that’s the observation tower or a fort – we couldn’t come to an agreement on which one it is. (I did that 🙋🏾‍♀️). Then there’s a little town in the valley, with a number of homes. I heard there’s no HOA fees, but it is in a flood zone so be cautious when purchasing. That’s about it.

Summary: Our new normal is going to be just fine.
